A product demo shows something being used rather than described. For a physical product it is the highest-converting format there is, because it answers the question a photograph leaves open: what is it actually like. The rule is to show the thing working within the first two seconds. Demos that spend the opening explaining what the product is have already lost the viewers who would have bought it.
